The textile-leather industry on the horizon of 2022 - from Tradition to Sustainability and Multidisciplinary through Research-Development-Innovation - TEX-PEL-VISION 2022 - Code PN 1917

Duration of the core program: 2019 – 2022

The purpose of the core program: In correlation with the research directions and priorities defined by the Research Strategy of INCDTP 2019-2022 and the Institutional Development Plan of INCDTP 2019-2022, the purpose of the core program TEX-PEL-VISION 2022 is to develop a series of efficient and innovative solutions, at the development priority of the textile-leather sector, by increasing skills and consolidating multidisciplinary scientific research within the institute, for the promotion of sustainable products, the valorization of raw material resources and by-products according to the principles of the circular economy, in order to increase competitiveness and innovation both the industrial sector as well as related fields.

Objectives of the core program:

1st Objective: Eco-nanotechnologies and advanced materials for the field of textiles and leather

Through the theme addressed within this objective, the research activity is aligned with the specific objective OS 2: "Supporting intelligent specialization" and the field of intelligent specialization "Eco-Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials" from the National R&D Strategy 2014-2020 and to the research directions " Technical textiles and advanced polymeric materials" and "Eco-technologies and environmental protection" from the INCDTP Strategy 2019-2022.

2nd Objective: Advanced equipment and systems for protection, space and security

Through the theme addressed within this objective, the research activity is aligned with the field of intelligent specialization "Information Technology, Space and Security" from the National R&D Strategy 2014-2020 as well as with the research direction "Textiles for special domains" from the INCDTP Strategy 2019- 2022.

3rd Objective: Textiles and biomaterials with applications for health and improving the quality of life

Through the theme addressed within this objective, the research activity is aligned with the public priority field "Health" from the National R&D Strategy 2014-2020 as well as with the research directions "Biomaterials and invasive and non-invasive medical devices" and "Advanced textile materials and leather for increasing the quality of life" from the INCDTP Strategy 2019-2022. At the same time, it responds to the specific objective of OS 3. "Concentration of an important part of R&D activities on societal problems", the research activity of TEX-PEL-VISION 2022, focusing on man and the increase of his quality of life and health.

4th Objective: Evaluation, measurement and control techniques for the field of textiles and leather

Through the theme addressed within this objective, the research activity is aligned with the requirements of continuous increase in product quality, a direct imperative for increasing the competitiveness of the textile-leather sector, as well as with the objective "OG1. Increasing the competitiveness of the Romanian economy through innovation" from the National R&D Strategy 2014-2020 and to the research direction "Advanced materials (textiles and leather) for increasing the quality of life" from the INCDTP Strategy for the period 2019-2022.

5th Objective: Advanced research for cultural heritage

Through the theme addressed within this objective, the research activity is aligned with the public priority field for the current strategic cycle "Cultural Heritage and Identity" from the National R&D Strategy 2014-2020 as well as with the research direction "advanced research for cultural heritage" from the Strategy INCDTP 2019-2022.

The Research Strategy of INCDTP 2019-2022 will be updated and completed in correlation with the directions of the national strategy 2021-2027.

The purpose of the core program: In correlation with the research directions and priorities defined by the Research Strategy of INCDTP 2015-2020 and the Institutional Development Plan of INCDTP 2016-2020, the purpose of the core program TEX-PEL-2020 is to strengthen scientific research in the field of textile- leather industry, with the potential of intelligent specialization, through the development of new and emerging technologies, the promotion of sustainable products, the valorization of energy resources, raw materials and by-products according to the principles of the circular economy, in order to increase competitiveness and innovation in the industrial sector and in related fields.

The purpose of the core program: In correlation with the research directions and priorities defined by the Research Strategy of INCDTP 2015-2020 and the Institutional Development Plan of INCDTP 2016-2020, the purpose of the INOVA-TEX-PEL core program is to support the relaunch and increase of competitiveness and innovation economic units with textile-garments and leather-shoes profile in a sustainable way, by approaching interdisciplinary and multi-sector CDI projects, adapted to market requirements, which aim to significantly increase the level of performance and quality of the products, technologies or services made and/ or applied in the economic environment.
